Our refund policy reflects the real work involved while remaining fair and straightforward.

Overview
Story of You is billed as a one-time payment. This payment covers the following:
Tailored prompts at 3 prompts per week over 10 weeks, plus a 4 week grace period for a total of 42 prompts
One completed hardcover book upon responses to at least 20 prompts within the the total 14 week period
Refund eligibility and options depend on when you cancel.
Cancellations & Refunds
You can cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of purchase or before your first prompt is sent.
Once your first prompt has been sent, the Story of You experience is considered active and we’re unable to offer refunds. At that point, your project timeline and editorial system are already underway.
That said, life happens. If your timing changes, you have several options.
Option 1: Pause and Restart Later
If now isn’t the right moment, you can pause your project at any time within the 14 weeks from the purchase date.
No additional prompts will be sent while your project is paused
Your responses and progress are safely saved
You may restart your Story of You within 6 months of your original start date
When you restart, your prompt schedule resumes and the experience continues as designed
This option is ideal if you want to complete the book later, when you have more space to reflect and respond.
Option 2: Convert Your Story into a Gift
You may also choose to convert your Story of You into a gift for someone else.
The project is reassigned to a new recipient
Prompts reset and begin on a new timeline
The original recipient’s responses (if any) are not carried over
This is a thoughtful option if you’d like to pass the experience along to another family member or loved one.
Incomplete Projects
If an active project passes through the 10 week + 4 week grace period without meeting the minimum 20 prompts to print, the project will automatically be archived.
Once archived, here are the options available:
Option A: Purchase a Completion Extension ($49)
Reactivates the project
Includes additional prompts + access to all prior prompts
Once 20 is reached → book proceeds
Option B: Convert to a Digital Archive
Receive a digital-only keepsake of submitted content
Clearly positioned as a different outcome, not a downgrade
Option C: Leave It Archived
No further action
Content retained for 6 months
Can be revived later via a paid extension
